Early Childhood Education

At the Y, toddlers develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about the world around them. School-age kids make friends, learn new skills and have the opportunity to do their homework. Most importantly, children learn how to be their individual selves. Our child care programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids. Children need to feel connected and supported while trying new things. At the Y families and parents have the opportunity to support and to help each other. We believe the values and skills children learn early on in development are the vital building blocks of life and lead to future success. Our future generation’s education is something we value, and is important to help develop a better us.

Y Daycare

Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm

Ages 30 months to 6 years

Extended Care for Preschool is available Monday-Thursday from 1-4pm.

Y Preschool and GSRP

All of our Preschool programs focus on Creative Curriculum. Y Preschool and GSRP run from September -May.

Y Preschool: Monday - Thursday afternoons from 1pm-4pm.

GSRP: Monday - Thursday mornings from 8am-11am.

Extended Care available. Members: $12; Non-Members: $17

(4 hours in addition to normal preschool costs)

All YMCA Preschool programs begin September 10th.
