This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session.
Step 1: ONLINE TRAINING
The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 4 hours to complete the online portion. Your experience may vary widely based on several factors including your PC, internet speed and previous training. We recommend beginning the online session as soon as possible to ensure that you are able to complete all E-Learning modules prior to the in-person skill session.
After registering for the class...
You will receive an email with a link to the Red Cross Learning Center. Click on this link and create a log in if you have not done so for a previous session. After creating a log in using your email address and password, click “Launch Course” to begin.
The online information session typically takes 4 hours to complete. Be sure to save a screen shot or print a copy of your certificate of completion.

Step 2: IN PERSON SKILLS SESSION
The in-person skills session is where you will practice skills and demonstrate competency. This in-person session is required to complete your certification and may take up to 2 hours to complete.
Pre-registration is required to attend an in-person skill session. Call or visit the YMCA to register.
